First Responder
Artists and Bands

The Thin Line Rock Station delivers a powerful mix of today’s chart-topping music alongside classic hits from the ’70s and ’80s that never go out of style. We keep the energy high with the best of both worlds, modern anthems and timeless favorites. And we don’t stop there, we also spotlight our own. Many first responders are incredibly talented musicians, and this is where we share their music, their stories, and their passion. It’s more than just what we play, it’s about supporting those who serve, both on duty and on stage.

How to Submit Your Music to The Thin Line Rock Station

Are you an artist looking to get your music heard on The Thin Line Rock Station? We welcome music submissions from independent artists, bands, and record labels who want to reach our audience of first responders, their families, and supporters across the country.

To help us review your submission efficiently, please follow the guidelines below.

Prefer the Old-School Method? Mail Us a CD

Believe it or not, one of the easiest ways to submit your music is still the old-fashioned way: mail us a copy of your CD.

A physical CD typically includes the audio files, album artwork, track information, and release details all in one package, making it easy for our programming team to review and catalog your music. If you're already producing CDs for fans, merchandise sales, or promotional use, sending us a copy can be a simple and effective submission method.

Just be sure the CD clearly identifies the artist, album, song titles, and contact information so we can properly review your submission.

Is Your Song Released?

Before submitting your music, make sure your song has been officially released or has a confirmed release date.

If you have never released music before, you'll need to distribute it through a digital music distributor. Services such as DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, UnitedMasters, and similar companies can help independent artists release music to major streaming services and digital stores. Most distributors require your final audio file, artwork, song information, and a release date.

You do not need to be signed to a record label to release your music. Many successful artists release music independently.

Send the Actual Song File

One of the most common mistakes artists make is sending only streaming links.

Please do not submit Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or other streaming links as your primary submission.

Instead, email us the actual audio file for review.

We accept most standard audio formats, including:

  • MP3

  • WAV

  • FLAC

  • AIFF

  • M4A

If your file is in another common audio format, feel free to send it. We can usually work with most standard audio files.

Include Complete Song Information

To ensure your music is properly identified and reviewed, please include the following information with your submission:

  • Artist Name

  • Song Title

  • Album Title

  • Release Date

  • Contact Information

If this information is not embedded within the audio file's metadata, include it directly in your email.

Accurate information helps us catalog submissions correctly and prevents delays during the review process.

Include Album Artwork

Please attach a square image file of your album cover.

Square artwork is the industry standard and helps us organize our music library and promotional materials.

What Happens After You Submit?

Once your submission is received, it will be added to our review queue.

Please understand that The Thin Line Rock Station has thousands of songs in rotation and receives numerous music submissions on a regular basis.

Because of the volume of music we receive, it may take time for our programming team to review your submission. Submission does not guarantee airplay, and not every song will be added to our rotation.

If your song is selected, it may still take time before it appears on the air.

We appreciate your patience throughout the process.

Our Policy on AI-Generated Music

We recognize that AI-generated music is becoming more common in today's music industry.

While AI-generated music may still be reviewed, it is placed at the back of the submission queue. Our primary focus remains on music created and performed by artists who are actively developing their craft and connecting with audiences through their original work.
